Alba's and Margita's Great Test of Chais, Pt. 2: BOHO café & store

If you love strolling through the streets and alleys of Vinohrady just as much as I do, you might have ended your walk with a drink in BOHO already. The place is a combination of a selling gallery and a café, which means there is strong nostalgia potential. ("My Mom had those shoes when she was my age! This vase still stands in my Grandpa's living room!") The high variety of drinks to sip from while tearing up at the memories of your lost childhood is convenient as well.

ALBA

The Foam: Not a very thick but noticeable nice layer of (bit coldish) foam with a first touch of spices. 7/10

The Chai: Even though not as tastily spicy on the first sip as the one in Kavárna, I overall liked this one better. It has a softer aftertaste but the spicy flavor grows as you drink it and the sweetness point was perfect. Like predicted in the first article: warmer, I'd aaaalways prefer them warmer, but I guess that's just my taste buds' temperature issues :) 8/10

The Overall Experience: Boho is just the perfect spot for an after-work chai on a rainy day (or wine, or the delicious Boho tonic!). Mix in a cozy and quiet atmosphere, nice and friendly service, great (even buy-able) decoration; blend in a lovely conversation with the other half of this chaimission and you'll get a 10/10.

MARGITA

The Foam: Not too thick and with hints of sweetness, with a significant cinnamon note. 8/10

The Chai: Very nice balance of sweetness and spiciness. The color is more intense, not just the occasional light-beige shade of milky. Our chais were served in lovely glasses, the kind your parents never used in everyday life, but took them out when your judgmental aunt came to visit you. A glass of water came with the wine in the end. (Come on, you didn't think we meet only for innocent chais and go home afterwards, did you?) The water glasses were exactly the ones we used to have at home, one by one they got broken through the years. I remember being a kid, having all glasses still intact and seeing the last one break as an adult... But ehm yes, good chai! 8/10

The Overall Experience: When I think of our visit at BOHO I imagine dim light, candles, pleasant jazz music playing in the background and the place full of people. Despite the place being full, it all felt rather cozy and nice. Somehow the acoustics of the place make you hear just a subtle background noise consisting of the talk of others. Or is this some kind of a BOHO-effect making people speak softer, quieter? Anyway, 9/10 it is!
