Love, Český Krumlov

I don't know whether this is a symptom of the "teacher's kid syndrome", but no summer holidays and summer itself could start without some intense together-time with my Mom. 35 degrees outside? Sunburnt flesh and freckles on my face? Long days and having a permanent cold from the air-conditioning? Pfff! Nothing counts without the proper kick-off with my mother. We spent all my school holidays together and spending time with her while being (kind of) an adult makes me feel like the world is still okay. At least for a moment.

This year, I didn't travel home to start summer. Instead, the official summer-starting week took place in Prague and nearby places - a way less tropical environment than the Slovak south. (It was so hot that when my Mom was stepping out of the train, a thick heatwave rolled out of the wagon as well. I swear!)

My mother is an inspirational woman - the greatest one for me actually. Whatever she touches, good and beautiful things are created and the world becomes a better, nicer place. She is my motivation and and example of giving your natural craziness the freedom it deserves. And she has taught me by example not to take myself too seriously.

What we did take seriously was the focus on the quality of our time spent together. We decided to go on a trip to Český Krumlov - a city that hopped out of a fairy-tale straight into the Czech Republic. (Then it took a look at the prices in Prague and implemented some additional fairy-tale taxes. It developed a portfolio of wheat-free desserts as well. This way, even the worst allergy-sufferers have the opportunity to get hooked on some dreamy choco-cherry-mousse. And I bet there is as well a dragon somewhere around...).

Lovely, right?

Oh - any ideas where to get some choco-mousse in Prague? Urgently!
