AweSomeThing #04: Mama in Praha

The older I am, the less we look alike. The same spark in your eyes was highlighted as our most similar feature. Ok - as long as there`s a chance that I inherited some inner qualities, I don`t need to be beautiful!

My Mom:

... shares the same level of enthusiasm after stepping into a store selling paperware, pens, brushes, pencils, notebooks and other items opening doors to nicer, more colorful worlds.
... provides inconspicuous step-by-step instructions when I am present during cooking, hoping that the already simplified instructions manage to find their way into my brain and that I finally learn how to cook this or that dish. (Finally, fi-na-lly something else than pancakes.)
... came to Prague for a visit and brought Home with her.

No beach or any other kind of vacation could have made me walk through those days in a happier mood. Looking at the pictures made during those seven days my Mom was in Prague, I still find myself a bit shocked how much one can experience during a week spent outside the classical frame of (work-)days.

Father Time - bro - why can`t you make dull days last as short as great weeks and stretch great weeks to the length of one snail-sped day?

Happy Birthday, Mami!

Lavender fields forever.

Farebná prechádzka botanickou záhradou. Na jej konci: vináreň. Ako inak. / The colorful Botanical garden in Troja. The more you walk, the closer you get to the vineyard house Vinárna sv. Kláry. Best. Rosé. Ever.

„Please don`t touch our butterflies. It kills them.“
The beauty of the flora and the gorgeous afro you have instead of your regular hair due to the moist air vs. searching for the birds with the lovely chirping and finding only loud-speakers. Pavilion Fatamorgana.

V meste Becherovky, kúpeľných oblátok a vysokofrekventovanej azbuky. / When you buy the bus-tickets too much in advance and later you discover it`s film-festival time during your trip to Karlovy Vary.

Ako som sa precenila: „Dám to... dám to... dám si glg z minerálneho prameňa bez toho, aby mi prišlo zle!“ / Two things that fascinate me in Karlovy Vary: the lovely architecture of a spa-town and the amount of people managing to drink the water of the hot springs and look delighted while doing it.

Jej Výsosť, kráľ Pávclav. / Always wear your invisible crown. If your crown is not that invisible, just keep being fabulous.

Výhľad. / This view.

Becherovka - the so-called thirteenth hot spring of Carlsbad. This basically means that you are curing yourself while drinking it. Cheers!

Nemecko - vždy dobrá voľba na výlet (a na nákupy). / Germany - a nice place to spend your day at and to go for some shopping. (So much affordable wheat-free food!)

Drážďany - mesto s najtalentovanejšími pouličnými muzikantmi. / Dresden: the city of the most talented street musicians of the world.

Najprv kultúra, potom kúl káva. / No, this is not coffee-time in some random Granny`s garden: Café Alchymista with its beatiful garden is the best place to contemplate about the just-visited Mucha-exhibition. Well, ok - mainly to have some cake.

Karlštejn: Because who needs air-conditioning when you can hide in the cozy former torture chamber?
